These are the decks that I’m working with currently. I’m open to buying a few more. If you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear what deck you think I should add to my collection and why. Feel free to reply to this post below.

The Hanson-Roberts Tarot
Mary Hanson-Roberts 1995
( I have the small “Essential Tarot” version of this deck with a booklet by Rosalind Simmons )

The Deviant Moon Tarot
Patrick Valenza 2014
This deck is a favorite of mine. It’s also digital art.
I have the larger borderless version of these cards.

Thoth Tarot ( I have both the oversize deck and the standard one )
Aleister Crowley, Marguerite Frieda Harris
The Thoth deck is beautiful . I love the artistry and mystery of this deck.
It took five years to complete ( 1938 to 1943), and was first published in 1969. Crowley died in 1947. Harris died in 1962.

The Rider Tarot
Arthur Edward Waite, Pamela Colman Smith 1910
Every modern deck owes something to this one.
*********************************************
Universal Waite Tarot
Mary Hanson Roberts 1992
*********************************************
The Hermetic Tarot
Godfrey Dowson 1979
The art of the Hermetic Tarot doesn’t have the most trained or professional look, but the cards are unique and filled with symbolism. It’s an interesting deck and unlike any other that I’ve seen.

The Haindl Tarot
Hermann Haindl 1990
This is some genuinely beautiful work. The art has a sophistication rarely seen in a tarot deck.
